senior portrait

Senior || Mayra

When Fernando’s niece asked me to take her senior portraits, my first reaction was “I am cool enough for Gen Z!!” We planned our date around the holidays and got to work. The Claremont colleges served as our backdrop, and they put in work providing beautiful old architecture and maintained greenery for the photos. Mayra came in the cutest preppy outfit that paired nicely with her surroundings. And I have to say, she started out a little camera shy, but after an hour she was hitting poses like it was no one’s business! I am honored to have had a little part in her celebration of this milestone (and I am really looking forward to coming back to this campus to take more photos)!

Senior Portraits || Leah

A full circle moment! Ryan was one of the first senior portrait sessions I ever did, and this year I had the honor of taking photos for his little sister. She loved the idea of going to the same park and recreating some of the looks we did for Ryan. I love watching my work evolve over time. But more importantly, I love watching my relationships with clients involve into genuine friendships!

Graduation || Keith & Friends

My best friend really did that thing!

So first of all, congratulations Keith! I am so proud of you and all that you have accomplished. Despite repeated explanations, I still don’t exactly understand what you do. I do know that you’ve been assisting professors with research since your second year and working for a startup since your junior year and now you’re making moves and getting ready to change the world! You inspire me to work hard (and maybe learn some science).

Second, let’s talk about this shoot. Keith brought along a great group of friends to celebrate his four amazing years at Santa Cruz. It was so much fun to watch everyone’s interactions and see how close and goofy they all were. We started at the beach and captured some fire group shots before heading to take the classing sign photos. We ended on a bridge surrounded by redwoods, as one must in Santa Cruz. Adi brought some confetti balloons and we added some fun rainbow to the shots. I especially love the tone bridge photos. Which ones are your favorites?

Graduation || Lily

Lily and I have been best friends since 7th grade. She was the first “model” that I ever took photos of. She has truly been there for me through all of my real and over-dramatized problems.

This weekend I drove up to Davis (again, long story) and had the honor of taking her graduation photos! I am so proud of my girl for accomplishing such a HUGE achievement. I can’t wait to watch her shine in whatever she decides to do next!
